Hannah Eckel is an Associate at Burrill Watkins, where her practice focuses on government relations and regulatory advocacy, corporate and healthcare law, and civil litigation. With a precise legal mind and an aptitude for both research and advocacy, she brings a blend of courtroom fluency and regulatory insight to her work with healthcare entities, businesses, and clients navigating complex legal frameworks.
Prior to joining Burrill Watkins, Hannah served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Roy B. Morgan, Jr., a Senior Judge for the State of Tennessee. In that role, she supported both trial and appellate court matters, managing diverse dockets that included conservatorships, personal injury claims, post-conviction issues, and criminal cases. Her duties ranged from drafting and editing court orders to providing thorough legal analysis to support judicial decision-making. She also served with the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, where she drafted bench memoranda, appellate opinions, and assisted judges in preparing for oral argument—experiences that sharpened her understanding of procedural nuance and legal reasoning.
Hannah earned her J.D., cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law, where she was Managing Editor of the Law Review, a Writing Fellow in Legal Analysis & Communication, and a pupil with the Charles Clark Chapter of the American Inns of Court. She was also a Dean’s Ambassador and an active member of the Women’s Student Bar Association.
