SEC Deputy Director of the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation (“OASBCF”) Sebastian Gomez Abero touted the “expanded capital raising pathways” available under the 2012 JOBS Act and urged practitioners to utilize resources now available in the SEC’s consolidated Capital Raising Hub.

He said that the hub now contains information regarding (i) the different exemptions from registration, (ii) the SEC review process for going public and (iii) compliance guides summarizing rule makings that impact small businesses.

Mr. Gomez Abero also said that the improved hub now contains (i) an interactive navigation tool to help users identify which path of capital formation suits their needs, (ii) discussion papers that address common capital formation issues and concerns and (iii) a simplified explanation for commonly used terms in capital formation to help demystify the process. He encouraged participants to continue to provide feedback to help improve the hub.

For parties interested in capital formation and capital raising the new SEC hub has a lot of good information.
